2024 Has not been boring yet!
Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all got some time off and enjoyed the hot weather. We sure kept the foot flat with Rolling Meadows Festival taking place over New Year’s. Then on the 6th of January my wife and I got to meet our baby we named Merlin! So The Boneline has it’s 1st 3rd generation pruner in the works already! I say 3rd generation counting from my family’s most recent purchase of this property and not the initial one. Regardless we are all very excited and I have not found 2024 boring yet.
We have a lot of news and stuff that you need to know is coming up! Let’s get into it.
It was a hot day.
That’s right we recorded the hottest day since 2021 from our weather station. While in many ways this is not a cause for much celebration for the planet in general, it does showcase our ability to ripen Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc over a hot dry growing season producing ripe clean fruit suited to making top-notch wines!
Rolling Meadows 23/24
Rolling Meadows 23/24 bought 7,000 people to the region and The Boneline! It was the biggest and best year yet. |
Fire and Feast
Fire and Feast is back at The Boneline! 4th and 5th May.
The secret is out and Fire & Feast returns once again with the most unique & amazing dining experience. Travel from Christchurch out to North Canterbury where you’ll be transported to a unique dining village, that’s off-the-grid.
North Canterbury Wine and Food
Don’t forget to grab your tickets to the North Canterbury Wine and Food Festival.
Last of all let’s check out some of the fruit in our new Cabernet Franc block.
This is the 1st year that we are going to harvest from this block so we are very excited to have a bit more Cabernet Franc going forward!
From now on we will just be putting nets out and getting ready for vintage.
We have a good amount of fruit out there so we are optimistic that it will be a vintage to remember!
More to come….
